Native American Folklore

This category refers to mythical creatures whose origins come from Native American cultures, spanning modern-day Canada, United States, and Central America; this does not mean they are all from the same groups of Native Americans, that they hold a similar position within their respective cultures, or that the Native American tribes were all a unified group. Rather, they are grouped together out of simplicity for categorization.

NOTE: Please keep the above in mind when discussing these creatures, as some are regarded with specific positive or negative connotations by their respective groups that can be seen as offensive if misused.
